Hi Donner Bliss guests! Remote controls can be a challenge. So much for a universal remote...because you still need a couple of them to make everything work, from cable to logging into your Netflix or Chromecasting from your phone.
Here's the set-up for our TVs (stay tuned for the TV in the third bedroom):
Dining room
Use the Toshiba remote to turn the TV on.
Tip: Make sure the Input is set to HDMI3.
Use the universal remote for cable TV.
Click the CBL button at the top.
Tip: Clicking Power will turn only the cable box off. To fix, click Cable and turn the box back on.
Then use the Guide button to select channels.
To see your Netflix, Amazon Prime or other subscriptions, play them on your phone and Chromecast it to the Dining Room TV.
Primary bedroom TV
Use the Samsung TV remote to turn the TV on.
Tip: Make sure the Input is set to HDMI2/DVI
Use the universal remote for cable TV.
Tip: Clicking Power will turn only the cable box off. To fix, click Cable and turn the box back on.
Then use the Guide button to select channels.
On the Toshiba remote, click the colored square to select Netflix or Amazon Prime and log into your account.
Third bedroom
