Truckee-area wineries and brewing companies bring the fun of an afternoon in Napa or Sonoma to your North Lake Tahoe trip. There are a couple of great spots to choose from, and you can make a whole afternoon an evening of fun out of it. Please enjoy responsibly and designate a driver...or take an Uber.
The Truckee River Winery is right here in Truckee. It's open from noon to 8pm everyday and offers wine tasting, tapas and artisan deli items year-round.
The big hit in the spring, summer and fall are the bocce ball courts and outdoor tables where you can sip and relax. And they're dog-friendly, so you can bring your pooch. In the winter, there's a pair of cosy fireplaces and board games, plus hot mulled wine. Check TRW out here.
