When people think of Monterey Bay, marine mammals might be the first animals that spring to mind. But there's another awesome animal experience that brings your love of the beach and ocean and sweet animals together.
The Equestrian Center in Pebble Beach offers trail rides that take you along the amazing coastline, but also through some of the area's famed golf courses and some pretty cool coastal houses.
You don't need to be an experienced rider. There was easy-on, easy-off help to get on the horse at the stables. And then our trail leader gave us tips all the way through the ride.
You wind through forest, up hills and around a corner to the panoramic view of the ocean, while you go down sandy dune trails bordered by many-colored ice plant.
There are lots of places to take pics and video along the way and your guide will take a beautiful pic of you with this spectacular ocean backdrop to share with family and friends and remember this day forever.
